Saint Boniface, founded in 1885, is a student centered parish Catholic elementary school encompassing preschool through grade five. We provide self-contained and limited departmental instruction with emphasis on high academic achievement, self-esteem, and a commitment to Christian values. Our nurturing environment includes a variety of teaching styles and experiences to educate the whole child to meet present and future challenges as we move toward the 21st century. A Catholic education aims to prepare students not only for careers, but also for life. It helps students to deal not only with questions of what a person should know, but also with how a person should live. Catholic education is best realized in Catholic Schools which offer opportunities for each child to receive religious and secular instruction, experiences daily living in a faith community, and develops skill and commitment in serving others. Catholic students learn to integrate the teachings of moral and spiritual values of the Catholic Church within the academic, social, and emotional environment of the Catholic School. Our Catholic School is a parish school within the Diocese of Erie. As part of the parish family, St. Boniface and the Diocese look to the school to serve its children and to collaborate with the Diocese in the formation of its children. |
Renovated Library
Renovated Computer Lab |

While everyone was hopefully relaxing and enjoying their summer the Saint Boniface staff and many wonderful volunteers were hard at work renovating both the library and computer lab.
The library transformed from a great space into a wonderful atmosphere where children of all ages can go to get lost in a good book. All of the shelving is child friendly, so no matter how big or small the students are they can find the exact book they are looking for. Once they find that book that is calling out to them, they can get comfortable on either the bean bag chairs or the table and chairs to sample the wonderful book they selected.
We feel that reading is such a vital aspect to a child's learning, and hope that this new library will encourage students to come in and get cozy with a good book.
The computer lab also underwent a major transformation. Fifteen machines that had served the school well were replaced with 15 brand new systems. The layout of the classroom also made a dramatic change for the better. The desks that once outlined the room are now arranged in two rows facing the enormous SMART Board mounted on the center of the front wall. This allows all of the students to see what the instructor is presenting without having to twist and turn in their seats.
Computer skills are a must in this new digital society. We know that this new lab will allow us to better educate and better prepare our students for the ever changing computerized world.
Saint Boniface would like to extend a HUGE thank you to the staff and individuals who helped transform these two rooms into what they are today. We could not have done this without you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!
